Privacy Policy for Theycal.com

Last Updated: May 20, 2025

At Theycal, we're all about making it easy to subscribe to your favorite events and get them synced to your Google Calendar. We take your privacy seriously and want you to know how we handle your info. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and how we keep it safe.

What We Collect

  • User Data: If you sign up or use Theycal, we may collect your email address (for account stuff or transactional emails) and the Google Calendar you sync with.
  • Event Data: Organizers (like venues or bands) manually enter event details—titles, dates, times, and ticketing links (e.g., "See Tickets"). We store that to sync it to your calendar.
  • Technical Stuff: Basic logs like IP addresses or device info when you use the site, just to keep things running smooth.

How We Use It

  • To sync events you subscribe to into your Google Calendar.
  • To send transactional emails (e.g., confirmations or updates) if you're opted in.
  • To generate affiliate links for ticketing platforms like "See Tickets"—we might earn a small commission if you buy through those, but it doesn't cost you extra.
  • To troubleshoot or improve Theycal—no creepy nonsense.

How We Store It

Event data and emails live on Amazon S3, secured with encryption. We don't mess around with your info.

We keep it only as long as needed to make Theycal work or as required by law.

Sharing Your Info

We don't sell or rent your data. Period.

We share event data with Google Calendar (duh, for the sync) and ticketing platforms (for affiliate links). That's it.

If the law comes knocking, we'll comply, but only if we have to.

Your Choices

Unsubscribe from an organizer's events anytime—stops the sync.

Security

SSL's locked in, and we use standard tech to keep things safe. No system's perfect, but we're on it.

Affiliate Disclosure

We may earn a commission from links. It helps us keep Theycal running and doesn't change your price.

Google Workspace APIs

We use Google Workspace APIs solely for the purpose of syncing event data to your Google Calendar as described in this Privacy Policy. We explicitly affirm that we do not use Google Workspace APIs to develop, improve, or train generalized artificial intelligence (AI) and/or machine learning (ML) models.
