Using Apple Calendar with TheyCal

Good news! You can still use TheyCal with Apple Calendar

📱 Already Syncing? You Might Not Know It!

Many Apple Calendar users have already set up syncing with their Google or Microsoft accounts years ago and simply forgot about it. Check your Calendar app settings first—you might already be all set!

How It Works

While TheyCal doesn't directly sync to Apple Calendar, your iPhone, iPad, and Mac can automatically sync with Google Calendar and Outlook. Once you sign up with either Google or Microsoft, events will appear in your Apple Calendar app after the sync completes.

⏱️ Sync Timing

Apple's sync with Google and Outlook calendars can take anywhere from a few minutes to an hour. Don't worry if events don't appear immediately—they will sync automatically in the background.

Option 1: Sync Google Calendar to Apple Calendar

On iPhone or iPad:

  1. 1 Open SettingsCalendarAccounts
  2. 2 Tap Add Account → Select Google
  3. 3 Sign in with the same Google account you use for TheyCal
  4. 4 Make sure Calendars is toggled ON
  5. 5 Tap Save

On Mac:

  1. 1 Open System SettingsInternet Accounts
  2. 2 Click Add Account → Select Google
  3. 3 Sign in with the same Google account you use for TheyCal
  4. 4 Check the box next to Calendars
  5. 5 Click Done

Option 2: Sync Outlook Calendar to Apple Calendar

On iPhone or iPad:

  1. 1 Open SettingsCalendarAccounts
  2. 2 Tap Add Account → Select Outlook.com
  3. 3 Sign in with the same Microsoft account you use for TheyCal
  4. 4 Make sure Calendars is toggled ON
  5. 5 Tap Save

On Mac:

  1. 1 Open System SettingsInternet Accounts
  2. 2 Click Add Account → Select Microsoft Exchange
  3. 3 Enter your Microsoft email and select Sign In
  4. 4 Follow the prompts to complete authentication
  5. 5 Check the box next to Calendars and click Done

Need More Help?

Once you've connected your Google or Microsoft account to Apple Calendar, all TheyCal events will automatically appear in your Calendar app. This is a one-time setup that keeps everything in sync.
